World

The Lands Between is massive in scale. There’s loads of content to explore with multiple places of interest to go to. Below is a list of some of the areas you can venture to.

Limgrave

Limgrave is the starting area and the one you’ll become most familiar with. Once you leave the catacomb you leave behind, you’ll be met with a breath-taking sight. Limgrave is a relatively easy area to explore. Theres lots to explore and all the time to do it, you can take it at your own pace. Look around, find a cave, practice fighting enemies, loot enemy camps, get scorched alive by a dragon on a lake. Loads to do, trust me. To the north of Limgrave is Stormveil castle. Home to that of Godrick the Grafted. Why not go pay him a visit once you’re ready? Or mabye venture south towards the Weeping Peninsula.

Weeping Peninsula

The Weeping Peninsula is the area south to Limgrave. A massive forest covers one sector of the peninsula, writhing with demi-humans and other beasts. while the south lies Castle Morne, a castle once belonging to Godrick, now under-siege as the misbegotten slaves have taken over. The east you’ll find a wandering mausoleum these massive structures have the ability to duplicate remembrances.

Liurnia of the Lakes

Liurnia of the Lakes is a massive plateau slowly sinking into the ground a water slowly floods the towns and forests. In the centre lies the Academy of Raya Lucaria, an ivory tower filled with scholars of glintstone sorcery, sworn to protect their queen Rennala. To the south-west under a massive cliff lies the village of the albinaurics. A race of human genetically created and seen as heresy by the golden order. Rumour has it they house a secret medallion to a promised land of safety. To the north-west lies Caria Manor, a castle heavily guarded by creatures and spirits alike. One must beg the question, just who exactly is this lot guarding? To the north-east is the grand lift of Dectus. A massive lift leading up to the Altus Plateau, only activated by brandishing the Dectus medallion. I wonder if there’s a way around?

Caelid

Caelid is hell, figuratively and literally. What remains of the land is the result of the battle between Malenia and Radahn. A rotten wasteland with deadly beast around every corner. At its heart lies the Sellia swamp festering with rot, rumour has it a battlefield commander was seen around those parts looking for something. To the north lies Dragon Barrow, a shifted part of Caelid dragons retreated to after the rot began to spread. Caution advised when venturing there, unless you like dragons. To the north-east of Dragon Barrow lies the Beastial Sanctum, surely there’s an easier way to reach it. Perhaps D would know. To the south-east of Caelid lies Redmane Castle. General Radahn’s main castle and last seen whereabouts. The castle is heavily guarded and the only way to enter it is to pass the great bridge, without getting pulverised by the flaming bombs launched by catapults. Perhaps that teleporter beside the bridge may work if an event is going on.

Altus Plateau

Altus Plateau is home to the Erdtree. The land is in heavy ruin after the Shattering. With many of the areas covered in ruins and war wreckage. To the east lies the Royal Capital, Leyndell. Home to the Goddess Marika and base of the Erdtree. Beware though as it is heavily fortified and filled to the brim with enemies. To the east is a massive volcano, known a Mount Gelmir. In there lies the Volcano Manor, a castle built within the volcano. Home to that of Praetor Rykard. To the north of Altus lies the Shaded Castle, a manor infested with rot and poison, said to once be the home to a family of executioners, until one of their subjects rebelled and took over.

Mountain Tops of the Giants

The Mountain Tops of the Giants, the land to the east of Leyndell. The frozen lands covered in the corpses of giants after the war between the giants and the royal capital. The mountains are separated, being held together barely by massive chains. To the north lies Castle Sol. A castle said to belong to a commander said to hold a half of a secret medallion. East of there is a massive frozen lake, wouldn’t recommend venturing too far into it, just stick to the side and you’ll be fine. To the south-east lies the Forge of the Giants. Said to be capable of creating a fire so powerful it may burn the Erdtree.

The Consecrated Snowfield

Aha, so that’s where the secret medallion leads. The lower level of the mountaintops, a thick blizzard covers the snowfield making visibility poor. To the north lies Ordina, Liturgical Town. A small town said to be guarding a secret by locking a gate behind a riddle. To its west lies the Apostate Derelict, a cathedral housing a sleeping albinauric, someone must be looking for it. To the east lies nothing but wase and ruins, but the albinaurics seem to be guided to there by something. Perhaps a portal?

Siofra river

Under the world lies the Siofra river. A massive river spanning a massive chasm. With in lies Nokron, one of the Eternal Cities that lie underground, outside of the Erdtree and the Golden order’s eyes. Said to house an un-sacramental relic, to the north lies the Siofra aqueduct, perhaps you could go deeper from there. Say, what’s that glowing red structure to the east over there.

Ainsel River

The Ainsel river is a more condensed chasm compared to the Siofra. Consisting primarily of tunnels infested with ants. Traversing through the tunnels will bring you to some openings. Beware though as malformed stars inhabit these areas and will proceed to shoot rocks at you via gravity magic. Carefully pass this thing and make your way through towards Nokstella, another one of the Eterna Cities. After fighting through there, you’ll come across…. the Lake of Rot…. yes… Rot… Welp if you can manage the lake perhaps you might want to investigate the massive ruin lying in the distance.

Deeproot Depths

The Deeproot depths is what lies below the Erdtree. Past a few roots and over a great chasm, there lies ruined Eternal City can be found with Godwyn knights patrolling it. This is because up a little bit the remains of Godwyn the Golden can be found, Deathroot purging out of him.

Mohgwyn Palace

So that’s where that portal to the east of the snowfield went. Right, Mohgwyn palace. Home to Mohg. The festering bloody hellscape is filled with Mohg’s worshipers, along with masses of bloodied corpses and flesh. Perhaps you’d want to venture up the palace and face Mohg. Maybe he’s guarding something.

Miquella’s Haligtree

The Haligtree. The land of safety, for everything except you. Descending the branches is no easy feat. The tree is covered in endangered lifeforms Ants, Envoys, Misbegottens. And Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree guarding its base. Once you make it past all of them, you’ll enter Elphael, the city lying at the bottom of the tree. Perhaps you should prepare yourself if you wish to venture further, the enemies of the haligtree are no joke. And what lies at the base. Well. Goodluck.

Crumbling Farum Azula

Farum Azula, a land bent out of time. Ruins of an ancient citadel scattered around a massive everlasting tornado. Ancient Dragons live amongst the ruin, flying, circulating, the fallen lands. At the heart lies a structure of interest. Perhaps you’d best find a way to it. If not. Go low, as there is rumour to believe the Ancient Dragonlord still lives in the centre of all this madness.
