During your journey, you’ll come across other Tarnished and natives to the lands between, these people will either help, attack, or deceive you for their own personal gain. All characters have a questline that can be done to gain rewards. Below is a few characters you may come across
Melina
Melina
Melina is the first character you will meet. She will be the one that gives you the power to turn your runes into levels and gives you torrent, your spectral steed. Melina helps you throughout the game and tells you some of the lore on what happened in certain areas.
Sir Gideon Ofnir, The All-Knowing
Sir Gideon Ofnir, The All-Knowing.
Sir Gideon Ofnir is the leader of the roundtable hold, a place where tarnished come to when entering the Lands Between. Gideon wishes to have knowledge above everything, evident by him wanting information about the Demigods you kill and where they were in exchange for rewards. Gideon is well versed in sorcery and incantations, making him a tough foe from a distance.
Fia, the Deathbed Companion
Fia, the Deathbed Companion
Fia is a deathbed companion, people who sleep with those who are dying and steal their life essence. Fia can be found in the roundtable hold before leaving after a major event in the game, then she will be found in the Deeproot Depths, lying beside Godwyn’s corpse. Giving her the Curse mark of Death will cause her to sleep with Godwyn, allowing you to enter Lichdragon Fortissax’s fight.
The Gold Mask
The Gold Mask
The Gold Mask is a beloved figure in the Golden Order; a sort of philosopher that doesn’t speak yet has the strongest connection to the Golden Order. He can be found in Altus on the northern half of the great bridge, staring at the Erdtree. During his quest Gold Mask will travel to different locations observing the Erdtree everywhere he goes. Doing his quest involves helping him understand the problem with the Golden Order and letting him see how to fix it.
The Loathsome Dung-Eater
The Loathsome Dung-Eater
Yes, that is his name. The Loathsome Dung-Eater can be found as an invader in the roundtable hold after claiming 2 great runes. He is a cannibal and spreader of a sickly disease, the pox. Doing his questline will involve freeing him from his jail in the sewers, killing him, then giving him five Seedbed Curses.
Lunar Princess Ranni
Lunar Princess Ranni
Lunar Princess Ranni is an Empyrean who wishes to rid herself and the world of the Greater Will. She can be found past Caria Manor in her rise, there she will allow the player to join her services, working along with Blaidd the half-wolf, War Counsellor Iji and Preceptor Seluvis. Ranni will task the player throughout the game and in the end will give the player a unique ending if the player completes her questline
The Two Fingers
The Two Fingers
The Two Fingers are the manifestation of the greater will. These are the watchers of the Demigods and path out their lives for them, while also deciding upon an Empyrean to bring upon a new age. The Two Fingers can be found in the roundtable hold and atop the divine towers. The one in the roundtable hold helping you, by guiding you through the game.
The Three Fingers
The Three Fingers
The Three Fingers are the manifestation of the Frenzied Flame. Locked away deep in the sewers of Leyndell, the fingers can still reach out and commune with tarnished, beckoning them to come down and to claim it for themselves, becoming the Lord of Frenzied Flame. Should the player do this Melina will abandon you and you will get the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending at the end of the game.
Millicent
Millicent
Millicent is found within a church south of Dragonbarrow, weakened and afflicted with Scarlet Rot. She is unable to cure it and would soon die from it. It’s your job for her questline to help cure her and get her back into peak condition, as she is missing an arm. How would you? Look around maybe, perhaps that sage below the cliff on where you found Millicent may have some answers.
Bloody finger Hunter Yura
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura
Yura is a ronin from the Land of Reeds, far away from the Lands Between. He hunts down assassins, and Bloody Fingers. Those of who serve Mohg and his blood-crazed dynasty (cult). You can meet Yura either south of the lake in Limgrave, or when being invaded by Nerijus. Helping Yura in his questline will lead to a questionable end for him, but I’ll leave that for you to find out.
